CEFA Financial Assistance

Grants

To date, CEFA has provided almost 1,709 grants to rural youth totaling $1,705,326. All of our local Education Foundations embrace a broad spectrum of education and vocation pursuits. Just some of the pursuits we have supported young people to do include: apprenticeships, traineeships, cadetships, university degrees and diploma or certificate-level studies through TAFE adn equivalent. They also provide grants to young people going directly into vocations such as Jillaroos, Jackeroos and governesses, just to name a few.

CEFA’s Education Partnerships

CEFA has an ever-increasing number of Education Partnerships with tertiary education institutions. Our Education Partners are committed to working together to assist more young people from rural Australia to access tertiary education.

Each of our Education Partners offers generous additional financial assistance to recipients of a CEFA community grant who go on to study at a partner institution.

To be eligible you must be a CEFA community grant recipient and be a full-time undergraduate student studying with one of our Education Partners. Some Education Partners offer assistance to first year students only, while others also offer assistance to students in second, third or fourth year studies.

The value of the additional financial assistance provided by a CEFA Education Partner can range from a $500 text book voucher to a dollar for dollar match of the grant received from your local Education Foundation. This dollar for dollar match means that a $1,500 local grant can become $3,000.

This additional assistance our Education Partners provide helps greatly with the initial transition costs of moving away to access tertiary education.
