CEFA’s local Education Foundations have achieved another record year of grant-making for the 2011 academic year, providing more than $372,000 in grants for rural youth. To this we have been able to add a catalytic amount of additional support from our Education Partner co-funding ($246,095), external scholarships ($57,200) and student education aspiration enhancement programs ($145,000) – all of which are at record levels this year.
Having recently completed our annual grant reporting for all of our local foundations, Education Partners and donors, CEFA is delighted to announce that more than $820,800 of support has been provided to rural youth in CEFA communities in 2011. Of this, $675,890 was given in grants to students in support of their post high school pursuits.
When combining the value of the various forms of support given since our first local Education Foundation started in 1993, $2,894,896 has been provided to rural youth in CEFA communities. This is an incredible achievement and huge thanks go to our Education Foundation committee members for their dedication and hard work, our Education Partners for their ongoing support and our donors for their generosity.
