AACO was established in 1824 and is the oldest continuously operating company in Australia. AACO currently operates 24 cattle stations and 2 feedlots and is the custodian of 7 million hectares (about 1.2% of Australia’s land mass). It is the largest beef cattle Company in Australia with 500 staff and runs 565,000 beef cattle.

AACO's beef customers include both domestic and export consumers. AACO became a publicly listed company on August 10, 2001. Managed from Brisbane with regional management located on each station AACO is committed to being an industry leader in developing its operating systems using the world's best practices.
