The Country Education Foundation of Australia is a wonderful grass roots initiative that has seen hundreds of young Australians achieve their post high school tertiary education, training and vocation goals.
For rural youth, often the pursuit of further education and many vocations means they have to move away for a period of time or permanently. This can present a significant challenge both financially and emotionally.
CEFA's purpose is to provide rural communities with the know-how and support required to establish their own education foundation. These local foundations provide grants to young people from years 10, 11 or 12 who are leaving school and need a helping hand in order to make the transition a successful one.
Below is a list of our current community education foundations by state. Alternatively, you can find a foundation by using our interactive map of Australia.
