Hay.
Hay is situated on the saltbush plains of the south western Riverina region of NSW and nestled on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. The town has a population of 3000 and is home to a diverse range of agricultural production systems and industry.
It is the philosophy of the Hay Country Education Fund that young people from Hay and district should be given every possible opportunity to pursue a career in their chosen field.
Whether it is to train as a jillaroo, study to be a doctor or do an apprenticeship to become an electrician, there are often challenges associated with following our dreams as a young person in rural Australia. Travel, relocation and purchase of study materials are just some of those challenges, many of which can prove costly and stressful.
To help out, Hay Country Education Fund provides grants to young people who require assistance to make a smooth transition from high school to further education and career training.
The Hay Country Education Fund embraces a broad range of education and career pursuits and doesn’t focus on the applicant’s academic success.
The eligibility criteria are simple - the applicant should have a realistic goal, to which he/she has shown commitment to achieving and requires some financial assistance to do so.
Online donations to the Hay Country Education Fund can be made by clicking on the ‘donate now’ button at the top right hand side of this web page.
Hay Country Education Fund will be calling for applications in the coming months and details will appear here.
