Cootamundra becomes CEFA's 33rd education foundation community

With CEFA’s growth across the country continuing at break neck speed, Cootamundra has been welcomed as our latest education foundation community in what is now a national network comprising 33 communities or regions.

Initiated by former Cootamundra school girl and philanthropist Laurie Cowled, youth of the district will now have the benefit of an education foundation when needing assistance with the transition from high school into further study, training or their chosen vocation.  Chairperson of the new Cootamundra and District Education Fund and long serving Mayor, Mr Paul Braybrooks, says ‘it is a simple yet effective way that we as a community can invest in our youth and our future and create skill diversity.  By investing in our youth this way, we are also investing in the future success of the country as a whole’ adds Mr Braybrooks.
