ASA Graduate Program

If you fancy a fun, challenging and rewarding career in the world of aviation, then this could be the program for you. The ASA Graduate program aims to instil organisation knowledge and develop individuals to be future leaders. A thorough induction at program commencement will familiarise you with our organisation, followed by on-the-job training and ongoing professional development and mentoring.

What areas of work might I be involved in?
The program is undertaken over a one-year period with four rotations of three months each across any of the ASA business groups, assigned on a preference-based system. Each year we seek to recruit a number of engineering and technical graduates as well as graduates from disciplines such as finance, HR, procurement, commerce, IT and law. Preferences can be indicated from the following business groups: Air Traffic Control (Support), Safety and Environment, Technology and Asset Services, People & Change, Audit & Business Improvement, Finance, and Corporate and International Affairs.

What locations could I work in?
The majority of the graduates will be based in our Canberra office, although those with engineering and IT skills may work in the Technology and Asset Services group and could be placed in Melbourne or Brisbane.

Recruitment
Fifteen successful individuals take part in the Graduate program each year, so look out for course advertisements on our website in early 2011. To apply you must have completed a degree within the past two years and hold Australian / New Zealand citizenship or hold permanent residency in Australia.
